This is gonna be a long post, but it is important for me to share as it was a huge “Ahh Ha” for me in my spiritual journey. I’m hopeful this will be helpful for you too.

This is gonna be a long post, but it is important for me to share as it was a huge “Ahh Ha” for me in my spiritual journey. I’m hopeful this will be helpful for you too.

First, let me explain how my week has been going. As I have mentioned in a previous post, work has been unusually frustrating and physically challenging. This week was my long week, five, ten hour days. Starting Wednesday, all the progress we made before our weekend was seemingly undone. Wednesday, I was working so hard that I hurt my back. All week long it was aching and hurting me, but I kept working and pushing myself. Yesterday, it was so bad, I had to take pain pills for it. I try really hard not to take pain pills unless I have to. I had two doses of them during work. It didn’t seem to help at all. I started to ease up on how much I was expending myself at work at the end of the day. Most of the work was done anyways so I didn’t let anyone down.

Also, I meal prepped a wonderfully delicious blackened chicken salad with one of my favorite dressings to eat for lunch all week. I used my new grill to cook the chicken and it was juicy and delicious. However, five days of the same meal got old quickly.  And I have been working so hard, it wasn’t enough calories or balance of nutrients. Later in the week, I added a package of ramen to my lunch which helped tremendously with curbing my starvation when I got home. However, salads were still just getting old and I was not excited about them anymore.

While I was at work Saturday, I had been listening to a podcast about finances called, Financial Feminist. I’ve followed Tori for years on Instagram and I love what she has done. But I hadn’t listened to her podcast. So, yesterday I selected a few to listen to and was happy to find that I already do most of what she suggests. One of the podcasts I listened to was about emotional spending.

I am aware that I do emotionally spend money, both on shopping and food. Usually, I shop when I’m happy and feeling rich and end up buying more than I even really wanted. Buying things just because it’s on sale or cute, not really because I’d been looking for these items. Food is usually more a negative emotion coping mechanism. When I’ve had a hard day or am super tired, I buy something yummy like a specialty coffee or something that sounds good to eat. While neither are inherently bad, I know that I do these things more than I would like to. I have been making more conscious efforts to be aware of spending and basically halting most if not all unnecessary spending. However, I need to find some kind of balance. Spending money brings me joy. So I need to continue to do so, I am just fine tuning what is important to me and how to best do this is a way that benefits me the most. And Saturday night was a great experiment on how I can honor myself and my money the best.

So, since this week has been so hard, I have been wanting to treat myself to some yummy food for dinner basically all week. Food I don’t have at home. Yes, I have food at home. Yes, I haven’t a goal to save money. Yes, I am trying to eat healthy and balanced foods. However, sometimes you just need to let yourself have it to cope with what’s going on.

So, I did. I bought our favorite pizza, from our favorite place. I surprised my mom with it when she got home. She was very grateful and had been having an equally difficult week. I only bought one pizza. I originally had two in my cart, but after looking at the price of $50, I thought that was ridiculous and expensive. Also, we don’t need two pizzas. One pizza would be an amazing treat, not break the bank, gone in one night and then we would be done and move on. Which is exactly what happened. We were sad there was not more, but also grateful because we would have just eaten it and made ourselves sick from being too full.

After eating, I spent a good amount of time stretching and deep breathing into my body and sore muscles. I found stretches that felt amazing. It didn’t relieve all my pain, but I knew that it was better than not doing anything at all. We watched our current favorite show, Monk. And finally we went to be early, 7pm.

This morning, I woke up with my kitties and puppy in bed with me all cozy and happy. I jumped out of bed and mindfully got ready as I didn’t have a lot of time to get to work, but I had just enough time to do all I wanted. I brushed my teeth, made more coffee, made a bagel, packed my lunch, put the dogs outside and was heading out the door.

While I waited for my coffee and bagel, I used my Toyota app to start my car remotely and get it warming up for me. I never do that but I love being so luxurious that I can. So, when I got in my car, my seat was warm, the car air was warm from the heater and I was just so giddy with excitement that I thought of doing that this morning.

On my way to work, I listened to an Abraham Hick YouTube video and settled even more into a higher vibration. I realized my back didn’t hurt at all this morning! I wasn’t sure if it was the stretching, the extra sleep or just being in a high vibration, but it didn’t matter and I was just grateful to be pain-free!

I was chipper and welcoming everyone at work with a happy good morning. Everything at work seems to be finally settling down and working its way out, so it was looking as if it would be a normal day at work. I was eager to extend help to my coworkers as I felt invigorated and excited for the day. However, no one seemed to need help, but they were glad of the offer.

While I was out grabbing samples, I felt a distinct urge to say “woo!” Immediately I felt shame about doing such an odd thing, but almost as fast as that thought came, I sent it away and just joyfully yelled, “Wooooo!” It was a great feeling. As I moved on to more samples, I noticed myself laughing about something working that gave me issues earlier in the week. No one had worked on it, no one else used it, I just simply had a better attitude and it worked seamlessly.

Today, as I reap the benefits of my decisions last night, I reflect back and wonder how easy it was to jump from such negative feelings to such cloud 9 feelings in a matter of a nights rest. All of this to say is it was easy, it was quick, this will be long lasting as long as I keep noticing the good. Most importantly, you can do this too. I didn’t do anything that you don’t have access to. You got this! I hope you have a high vibration day, week, month, year, and LIFE!

Reap the seeds you planted months ago, today.

I love how I reap benefits in the moment and later in life.

When I first started my job, I was very friendly, high energy and trying to make good impressions with everyone. Now, almost a year later, not only my coworkers, but the contractors who work onsite are very friendly and high energy with me.

Today, I’m not having such a high energy day, but the people around me still surround me with that positive energy. I’m so grateful that I continue to reap the benefits of my previous “hard” work.

It doesn’t take much to create a positive environment around you and you can reap those benefits for so much longer.

Imagine how much of a difference my simple efforts made when I first started. I know that those efforts mean a lot to me today. I am so grateful for my past self and for the people around me today.

Whew, it was a long and hard week at work. But I am so grateful to have this wonderful job. Most of the time my job is pretty relaxed, however, this week we had to work our butts off. We worked great as a team, helping each other out when needed. I couldn’t imagine doing a hard week like that with other people.

We have four days off now though so that’s great. Yesterday, I got called in early in the morning because I was on call. So when I was relieved, I went back to bed and slept as long as my body wanted. I’m so glad I didn’t plan anything for this weekend cause I definitely needed the rest. Once I was up, I took a wonderfully relaxing shower. I did a couple chores and then I built the bbq I bought during Black Friday. I am very excited to grill on it for the first time this weekend. All the kitties were happy to play in the boxes and slide on the plastic that came with the grill.

At night, my weiner dog lays along side me in our chair and a half. My large one year old kitty lays on one side of my legs and the kitten lays on my lap. I am so grateful to be loved by them. I feel so special when they do that.

Well, I wasn’t up at midnight on New Year’s Eve, but I was up past midnight on New Year’s Day.

Well, I wasn’t up at midnight on New Year’s Eve, but I was up past midnight on New Year’s Day.

I was the one to report to any alarms we got during the night and boy was there issues. However, I got great pay for my time. I got a rest period, so I didn’t have to report back to work at the usual hour.

When I got home at 2 am, all my pets were waiting for me in bed. My puppy greeted me at the door so happy to see me. What a joy to have such wonderful pets! I went right to sleep and woke up refreshed and ready for the day.

When I woke up in the morning, it was bright and sunny outside. Which is an unusual sight as we usually see the sunrise at work. Again, all the pets were excited to have me home at an odd hour. Koda, one of our cats, jumped up on the bed and was immediately loving on me and wanting to be pet. Everyone joined me for yoga, wondering why I was on their level (aka the floor). How fun it is to have pets that are fascinated by your every action.

While I ate an early lunch, I watched our kitten Jelly Bean play with one of the flowers on the table. It was just too cute!

When I finally did report back to work, I had a pretty easy day considering what it has been like the past couple weeks. I have a good time with the people I work with.

When I got home from work, I fed the outside animals their dinner. Cali, our horse, was frisky and running around snorting with her tail up. She even came up for some pets before continuing on to eat her dinner. Her schenanigans made the sheep freak out so they were running around with her. One of our sheep, named Poppy, bounces when she runs. It makes me laugh every time she does it. It reminds me of a deer running, just bouncing along.

I even bought flowers yesterday to brighten my living space to bring in the new year with joy and happiness.

Today was a very busy day. Normally it would have been very stressful for me and I would have described myself as a chicken with her head cut off. However, today I did something different. I slowed down on each task that I did. I took my time, savored the good in the tasks and therefore, no stress.

Today was a very busy day. Normally it would have been very stressful for me and I would have described myself as a chicken with her head cut off. However, today I did something different. I slowed down on each task that I did. I took my time, savored the good in the tasks and therefore, no stress.

I left work later than I ever have before as I wasn’t quite done with all my paperwork and data entry. And it was a messy day, so I needed a shower too. I finished my work and took a nice thorough shower. Slowing down allowed me to fully enjoy what I was doing.

When I got home, I actually had more energy than I normally would have after a busy day. I did self care and made a delicious dinner.

I recently upgraded my calorie tracking app and so I have new features. I linked my Fitbit app and now I get credits for exercise and calories burned. I burn a lot of calories at work so I am excited to see more accurately what I should be eating. Sometimes I’m starving and can eat everything, and other days I’m not really interested in food. I love data and trends so I’m excited for all these new things I can see. I also got a great deal on a lifetime membership so now I can use it forever. I find it’s nice to use to keep myself accountable.

I’m so grateful that we can track foods so easily and see what nutrition is in everything we eat. The world is a marvelous place.

How wonderful it is to have days of rest, a day to recharge, reset and refresh!

How wonderful it is to have days of rest, a day to recharge, reset and refresh!

Yesterday, mom and I met up with a lovely friend. We enjoyed a meal together and caught up on each other’s lives. It was joyous. After that, we came home and relaxed.

Today, we had a breakfast with our family. That is always a delight. I’m so grateful our family is close. After a couple errands, we came home to relax and enjoy some yummy foods we got.

Today, I celebrate the end of a weekend. And in the morning I will celebrate that I have a wonderful job to go to. A job that I enjoy, that pays me well, that is close to home, that is safe and reliable.

A wonderful day reconnecting with friends.

Yesterday was a busy, fun day! I took my time getting ready. Which, as I’m sure you can relate, is not always the case. I drove to a friend’s house about an hour away. I listened to one of my favorite podcasts and enjoyed my favorite holiday Starbucks drink while I drove.

The event that my friend hosted was SO much fun! We laughed and talked and gave advice and ate yummy food. It was a great time. It was also nice catching up with a couple people I hadn’t seen in a while.

When I got home, I found my mom had surprised me with a couple presents. She got me the cutest wiener dog pjs and a reusable airfryer insert. How sweet is she! I’m so grateful for her. She’s the best mom.

When I woke up this morning, mom was baking. She had already made cinnamon rolls. I frosted and boxed some up for a friend we are meeting later. It’s wonderful being able to bake and give them away as gifts to people. Who doesn’t love gifts, but giving is such a rush too.

What a joy it is to watch my kitties play with each other this morning. I’m so happy they all get along. Even my more grumpy cat seems to come around here and there. I think as the kitten gets older, they will get along even better.

ChatGPT and Yuka are such great resources for learning.

Wow, I love technology. Instagram reels have taught me a lot of really cool things, but sometimes I’m not sure if their content is accurate or not. And while you can look it up online, there are still opinions in those websites. And of course everyone is trying to sell you something.

However, I have been using the Chat GPT app to fact check the things I learn on Instagram. Let me tell you, I am loving it! I watched a reel that basically said there’s less calories in noodles that have been cooked and then refrigerated. Sure enough, that’s correct. It even has many benefits like helping gut health and improving insulin sensitivity.

This is also how I learned about all the benefits about herbal teas. I have been researching which carrier and essential oils are best for what application. I just learned about castor oil and wow, that’s basically good for everything. But now, I know what goes best with what oil and the reasons behind why it works. I care more about why it works since I love learning. Plus understanding what it does allows me to combined things on my own eventually.

My best friend’s mom introduced us to an app called Yuka. It tells you if something has additives and informs you about studies of what it does if you choose to consume it. It’s simple to use and so informative. I have been scanning everything from food to skin care to shampoo. Now I can make a more informed decision on what I buy and choose to put in or on my body.

Switching from coffee to tea isn’t going to be as challenging as I thought.

Today is my first day switching from coffee to tea. I have noticed a few things where coffee is holding me back, so while I enjoy it I decided to switch to tea instead. After doing some research, I am amazed that there’s so many health benefits to drinking tea! So not only will I not be holding myself back with coffee, but I will be benefiting my health.

So, this morning I found some tea I bought and put in the cabinet. I chose one that was flavored vanilla and almond. I brewed it a kettle that my mom got me. I poured it into my to go cup, added some French vanilla sugar free creamer and collagen scoops and went to work. It was a bit too hot so I didn’t really get to try it until I got to work. Wow, it’s delicious!

I reached out to the state last week to ask some clarifying questions about taking an advanced certification to better myself in my career. They got back to me with great news. Luckily, I have an associates degree; therefore I qualify to take all exams. They allow operators to “buy” years of experience with degrees in order to progress more quickly. They told me to send in my transcripts and they will get back to me if I can buy a year of experience with my second degree. (I already used one to buy a year for the certification I have now.) Getting my transcript from my school was super easy! It was emailed to me in minutes. Then, I researched my superiors’ salaries for some inspiration and motivation to study and pass this exam. I am so glad I’m in a wonderful career that is stable and I have room to grow.

I got some dresses I ordered from Azazie during their Black Friday sale. They are all gorgeous! I am so excited to wear them. One of them will be my bridesmaids dress for my best friend’s wedding next summer. I am so happy they all look wonderful. I got a great deal on them all and they are so quality. I’m thrilled with my purchase. I am so grateful I have the money to buy frivolous things like pretty dresses and participate in bridal events.

Just another wonderful day of surprises.

This morning, I took Jelly Bean to get neutered. I’m so glad I have a place to take my pets for care that’s very close to home. The people who were also taking their cats to get vet care were so nice and interested in everyone else’s babies. There was a line to drop off, but of course, it went quickly.

A friend met me at my house so we could drive out of town to try a new coffee shop in Wildomar called Montague Brothers Coffee. It was a nice drive. The coffee shop is super cute and it has a homey feel. We got Christmas special coffees, they were both very delicious! I would recommend it!

My friend was telling me about a dairy near the coffee shop so we stopped and purchased some chocolate milk, a T-shirt and animal feed. They had some farm animals we could feed! It was so fun! I love supporting local businesses, especially farms. And of course petting cute animals!

We met my family at our usual breakfast spot and enjoyed a nice meal together before going about our work week. It’s a weekly tradition that I am truly grateful for. It is not common to have a family so close, but I’m so happy mine is!

My friend and I ran errands together. It’s much nicer doing it with a friend than solo. I’m so grateful to have a reliable friend. While we were driving around, we saw a baby cow! I stopped and pulled over. There was sheep, cows and guardian dogs. They were all friendly too and came right up to the fence! I got to pet some of the sheep and even the baby sheep came up and wanted pets.

When I picked up Jelly Bean, the ladies were raving about how cute and tiny he is. It’s lovely when other people love your pets as you do. The lady who handed me his carrier said they already fed him wet food. He gets special treatment since he’s a kitten. When he got home, he was so hungry still! Thirsty too. He’s definitely happy to be home though. How lucky am I to have such wonderful animals!

We just finished Thanksgiving festivities and now we are onto Christmas! While I worked the actually holiday of Thanksgiving, I am so very grateful for this wonderful job I have. Plus we made holiday pay as compensation. So there’s nothing to complain about, only blessings.

This morning at work, I caught a glimpse out the window and saw the sky lit up the brightest orange; like it was on fire. It was gorgeous. Mother Nature is the best artist. As the day progressed, it changed in the most beautiful ways.

We just finished Thanksgiving festivities and now we are onto Christmas! While I worked the actually holiday of Thanksgiving, I am so very grateful for this wonderful job I have. Plus, we made holiday pay as compensation. So there’s nothing to complain about, only blessings. We even celebrated at work on Wednesday with a chicken lunch.

My family adjusted our celebration by getting together on Monday instead of Thursday. Our gathering was full of laughter and stories. It was such a wholesome Thanksgiving.

I have a “cool” car to decorate for the first time. I decorated Foxxy with skeletons for Halloween this year. For Christmas, I have a cute “Merry Christmas” sign on the back of the rack and there’s two bows on the grill. It’s darling, I love it. Foxxy is short for Arctic Fox, my white 4Runner. Foxxy has two “x’s” because she is extra as she is the top of the line model. I am very proud of myself being able to afford a brand new, top of the line car.

The internet, social media and technology in general are such great resources for entertainment, knowledge and more. I found a lot of great deals and fun things during Black Friday week. I am so excited to wear, use and gift everything I bought.

I am so grateful that I am wealthy and can afford all these amazing things. I am happy that I don’t have to worry if my payment will go through, because I know I have the money. Money is not something I have to stress about, thankfully!

However, I know I would not have purchased so much if I didn’t know about the sales or simply about the products in general.

I recognize that I have been wrapped up in the hype of buying during this season. While buying fun things and having those items brings me joy, I know that I don’t need to continue to do this moving forward.

So, I did a big unfollow session on Instagram and unsubscribed to a bunch of email marketing. I went from following 477 accounts on Instagram to only 180. I don’t even know why I followed most of them. I feel much better. I also deleted my shopping apps on my phone so it’s not as easy to doom scroll and add to cart.

I am so grateful that everything is at our fingertips. It makes life easy for me and a breeze to get my items delivered directly to my home. I am equally grateful to be able to acknowledge that I don’t need anything more and I can take a step back as well.
