Supercross Races
My friend invited me to go with some other friends to the San Diego Supercross racing event. I had never been to one of these events, so I was eager to accept and experience something new. My friend drove, which was very nice. I enjoyed just being a passenger since I usually drive myself. I met a couple of her friends, we all got along great.
Normal parking was full when we arrived, but we found free parking in a nearby neighborhood. The walk down the hill to the stadium was fun. We were all being silly and laughing together. We ordered some drinks that we were very excited to try. It is a stadium specialty cocktail called a mud flap. It was delicious! It just tasted like chocolate milk basically. While we walked around and even in our seats, people would stop us and ask what we were drinking because it looked so good.
The racing was fun to watch. There were some crashes, but no one got seriously injured that I saw. Once the racing was over, we trekked our way up the hill and to the car. Many regrets were shared amongst all of us spectators as we all climbed the hill. It was funny that we were all commiserating together. We did all make it back to our car. We made it safely back to our friend’s apartment.
We made frozen pizza and mozzarella sticks to enjoy before crashing. It was delicious. My friend and I shared a blow up mattress in their guest room. I am happy to share that it did NOT deflate throughout the night. I slept wonderfully. None of us woke up hungover, which is a great blessing. We all had so much fun and it was awesome meeting new people.
