Cat Sitting with my Best Friend

My best friend was asked to pet sit a friend’s kitty while she was away. So, my best friend asked me if I would be willing to come with her for the week so she wouldn’t be alone. Of course, I said yes! A free vacation?! Yes please.

I met her friends and we all seemed to get along wonderfully. I asked tons of questions; as I would if I was pet sitting myself. After they left, the kitty came out and decided to check us out. It was not his first time meeting my best friend, but it was his first time meeting me. It took him less than a day to be completely comfortable with us.

The kitty’s name is Dimitri and he’s 10 months old. So, he still has a lot of kitten playfulness! It was so fun playing with him and seeing his cute and crazy reactions. We got some cute videos of him playing. Find me on Instagram @SunshineGrowsHere to watch now.

Not only did we get to play with a sweet kitten, but we got to bond and grow our relationship even more. As we would talk, we would go on a tangent about something very deep and meaningful. It was really interesting how many rabbit holes we went down that started as a simple question. We learned a lot about each other. I even had some moments of clarity about myself. You know how I like self development.

What a wonderful opportunity it has been to get away, expand our relationship and of course play with Dimitri. I am so grateful that she asked me to come with her. We are so in sync, it couldn’t be better if we tried. What a lovely trip!
