Friends & Family

My Mom and her friend had gone Christmas shopping this morning. When they had finished we had planned to grab lunch together.

As I was in the drive thru at Starbucks, I got a call from my brother. He and his girlfriend had just arrived at my house and asked if I was heading back anytime soon. I explained that I was heading to lunch with Mom and that they should come.

We all had a wonderful time together. The food was delicious. We had fun laughing and catching up with each other.

When we left, I took a detour so Mom had a chance to unload any gifts she might have purchased while shopping. I grabbed us a couple drinks to enjoy.  Mom had called and asked if I was coming home. I explained that I was giving her a chance to unload if she wanted to, she was thankful and hadn’t thought of that. She explained that she wanted me to come home so she could share what she bought. I called a friend and we chatted while I drove home. I surprised Mom with the drinks and she was thrilled.

I had a wonderful day with friends and family.
