Sky of Fire
I felt called to go hiking. I threw on some clothes and my hiking shoes. Off I went to my local hiking spot. As soon as I started down the path, a screeching hawk flew over. In that moment, I knew I made the right choice to follow my intuition.
A lovely lady and her dogs were sitting outside their house. I got out of my car, I waved and said hi to the pups. Blue skies and beautifully shaped clouds filled the scene up until the tops of the mountains that surrounded me.
A family of quail were all together out in the field enjoying the last of the light. Other birds fill my ears with sweet chirps as they talk with each other.
I reached a nice grouping of rocks where I sat and watched the sun set behind a mountain range and lake. My favorite part about a sunset or a sunrise is the colors of the sky changing. Blues to purples to pink to orange to whatever the wonderful Mother Nature thinks of next.
On my way back to the car, I admire the dark blue mountains. The lights shine through the city below. No more bird noises now. All is quiet except my keys bouncing on my hip.
What a wonderful way to end a sunny day.
