I am a Money Magnet and You Can Be Too
It can be easy to stress about not having enough. Not having enough money, not enough stuff, not the best relationship, etc. This gratitude practice helps to keep those negative thoughts at bay. Here we focus on what is going right, not what is going wrong. You get what you give your attention to. So, if you give your attention to the good things that are happening in your life, then more good comes. If you focus on the things you don’t think are going right, then more of what you don’t like is going to persist.
Our family has a fun saying that we use all the time, “I am a money magnet.”
Whenever we get a good deal, save money or receive money we say that phrase. It’s a short and sweet acknowledgment of what is going right and encouraging more. Or even when we have to spend more than we thought or are feeling that we are lacking in some way. It is a good thing to say to remind yourself about the Law of Circulation. What goes around, comes around. Even though this money is being spent, more will come our way.
Recently, the whole family went around the table sharing why we were money magnets. Someone got a raise at work. Someone reached their daily earning goal. Someone saved money on something. Someone got a unexpected check. Someone had their meal paid for by a friend. Someone moved money into a high yield savings account.
At least one of these would be considered a normal occurrence to you, but what about some of the others? Would you have rejoiced about it like we did? Or would you still have found something to show that you are lacking in some manner? Next time something happens in your life around money, practice seeing the abundance instead of the lack. It is always your choice where you hold your perception.
I choose to find the abundance daily.
Another practice we learned to do when we felt like we are lacking in someway is to carry $100 in your wallet or whatever feels like a lot to you, but also manageable. Personally, I don’t usually spend $100 on one item very often. Then, as you’re shopping go around and say to yourself, “I could buy that.” “I have the money for that.” “If I really wanted that, I could have it.” And so on. The point is not to buy those things, but understand that you DO have the money to if you couldn’t live without it.
Using these practices and tools will help your money mindset expand and allow more to flow to you more easily that you imagined. I have experienced it myself and continue to expand allowing more to come my way.
I am ever so grateful for the things I know, the things I have been taught and the things I will learn in the future.
