This morning at work, I caught a glimpse out the window and saw the sky lit up the brightest orange; like it was on fire. It was gorgeous. Mother Nature is the best artist. As the day progressed, it changed in the most beautiful ways.

We just finished Thanksgiving festivities and now we are onto Christmas! While I worked the actually holiday of Thanksgiving, I am so very grateful for this wonderful job I have. Plus, we made holiday pay as compensation. So there’s nothing to complain about, only blessings. We even celebrated at work on Wednesday with a chicken lunch.

My family adjusted our celebration by getting together on Monday instead of Thursday. Our gathering was full of laughter and stories. It was such a wholesome Thanksgiving.

I have a “cool” car to decorate for the first time. I decorated Foxxy with skeletons for Halloween this year. For Christmas, I have a cute “Merry Christmas” sign on the back of the rack and there’s two bows on the grill. It’s darling, I love it. Foxxy is short for Arctic Fox, my white 4Runner. Foxxy has two “x’s” because she is extra as she is the top of the line model. I am very proud of myself being able to afford a brand new, top of the line car.

The internet, social media and technology in general are such great resources for entertainment, knowledge and more. I found a lot of great deals and fun things during Black Friday week. I am so excited to wear, use and gift everything I bought.

I am so grateful that I am wealthy and can afford all these amazing things. I am happy that I don’t have to worry if my payment will go through, because I know I have the money. Money is not something I have to stress about, thankfully!

However, I know I would not have purchased so much if I didn’t know about the sales or simply about the products in general.

I recognize that I have been wrapped up in the hype of buying during this season. While buying fun things and having those items brings me joy, I know that I don’t need to continue to do this moving forward.

So, I did a big unfollow session on Instagram and unsubscribed to a bunch of email marketing. I went from following 477 accounts on Instagram to only 180. I don’t even know why I followed most of them. I feel much better. I also deleted my shopping apps on my phone so it’s not as easy to doom scroll and add to cart.

I am so grateful that everything is at our fingertips. It makes life easy for me and a breeze to get my items delivered directly to my home. I am equally grateful to be able to acknowledge that I don’t need anything more and I can take a step back as well.
