Vegas Spring Break
One of my friends is a teacher, so for her Spring Break we planned a trip to Vegas! We stayed at a hotel neither of us had ever been to, but we had a blast! From delicious foods to amazing shows and kind people.
My friend made a few reservations for some amazing restaurants. We got to enjoy some amazing food!
Our first night we went to a restaurant called Flights. It serves “flights” of food and drinks and it decorated with airplanes. The food delicious!! We ordered their rib flight, Mac and cheese flight and wing flight. One style of the ribs was way too hot for us, but the rest was incredible. The drinks were a bit strong for me but I enjoyed the experience!
In the evening, we went to my first ever Cirque de Soleil show. We saw the show called Ká. It was super impressive! I was so excited about it that we went and bought tickets to see the Beatles Love show the next day. We bought the cheapest tickets; up in the balcony. While we waited for the show, we met a very sweet couple and enjoyed chatting with them. As we went up to the balcony seating, we were stopped by a worker who explained the balconies were closed and we were all getting free upgraded seats! The lady who reassigned our seats gave us her favorite seats. Wow, she was right! Our seats were amazing! The Beatles show was good too, but Ká was my favorite for sure! In my opinion it was just more impressive stunts.
Our next morning, we ate at a place called Mon Ami Gabi. They had crepe specials, but I couldn’t choose between their eggs Benedict or the banana crepe. So I just ordered both! They were both so delicious! While we waited for the food to arrive though, we took a couple pictures of each other. I happened to catch my friend spilling her coffee on camera! We had a good laugh about that!
The next morning we went to my friends favorite place called Primrose. It was so cute inside. We were sat by the big picture window. It was stunning. We ordered a more usual breakfast here. However, the servings were huge! We should have split one between us. They serve a special type of pancake, it was super thick. It was the best “not” pancake I’ve ever had! On our way to our next activity we actually have our leftovers to a homeless person who was so grateful.
We purchased tickets to see the Shark Reef Aquarium. That was so fun! I even got to pet some stingrays and learn about them. The aquarium worker explained that the stingrays knew where you are when you place your hands in the water. They are aware of this because they can sense your heartbeat through your hand. They felt really slimy but super smooth. It was a great experience.
In the afternoons, we spent time at the hotel pool. It was cold on the strip, but pretty warm at the pool. It was the perfect weather for laying out on vacation.
Our drive home was safe and smooth after a wonderful trip. I am so grateful for all I enjoyed with my friend.
