Hello Dingle, Ireland!
After a pretty hectic morning, I finally got onto the road headed to Dingle. The town was super busy, so I didn’t stop. I drove aimlessly trying to find a place to eat. I finally ended at a place called Tig Aine. Their back tables over look stunning views of the water, beaches and cliffs. As the water approaches the beach it turns the most beautiful color teal.
I ordered a vanilla latte, carrot and parsnip soup and a toasted chicken sandwich. The soup was delicious! I took the sandwich to go, which came in handy later.
I curled my hair last night and refreshed some curls today. It’s a good portion into the day and it’s turning out to be a great hair day! The past days here have been so humid and wet that my hair was just natural and wavy, even if I had styled it in the morning.
I stopped to talk to some cows. They were too scared to let me pet them but they didn’t run away. They wanted to smell my hand. They had the cutest pink noses.
I stopped by a beach I was looking at while eating. The water was stunning up close too! I was surprised how fast the drop off was on the shore, it got deep quickly. It was such a gorgeous color blue on the shore!
I saw a coffee truck on the side of the road and turned around to grab coffee. They were cash only, but luckily the bar next door let me get cash back. Their money is much smaller in size than ours. As the value of the money goes down, so does the size of the money. They use euros in Ireland.
I made it back to the hotel and learned my travel companion had checked out. I took five to rest and then headed onto the local town. I made my way to a store called Penney’s and bought a few essentials to get me through the rest of the trip.
When I was looking at the restaurants here in Tralee, I saw there’s a place called Cassidy’s. So, of course I had to eat there. After I put my stuff in the car, I walked over. I asked a couple walking in if this was a good place to eat, they said it was the best place in town! When I walked in they said they were booked for reservations, but they fit me in anyways! So sweet. I ordered a latte of course. Their soup of the day is vegetable so I ordered that too. I got their T-bone steak for my entree. Oh my god! The steak was a touch sweet on the outside and perfectly tender. It was incredible. The vegetables it came with were good. There were onion rings stacked on top of the steak. The batter was extra thick, crunchy but not too crunchy. Overall, I must agree with the couple, best place in town!
Back at the hotel, I straightened up my suitcase since I’ll be moving hotels tomorrow and got cozy into bed. I get to tour the Ring of Kerry tomorrow!
